Never-Born Fosterling Prologue Snippet
Harsh, pained breaths escaped from chapped lips as he swiped his tongue across their cracked surface. He surveyed his handiwork in the dimly lit room, arms hanging limply at his sides, baggy sleeves dotted in a medley of blood.
The once white gauze that covered both sides of his face, one side more heavily bandaged, was stained with his own blood from a sizeable wound connecting brow to jawline on the left side.
He reached up with his free hand and wiped his sleeve across his face, smudging the blood spots on his skin – ones that were not his own.
In the other hand gleamed a long, guard-less blade, its razor edge silver and its spine
Would anyone be interested in looking over and helping me to edit and polish my first 25 chapters of Fosterling: The Crow's Nest? Only the first 25 that I have up publicly. It's not the unedited version I have up on DA(was too lazy to go back and replace it and re-do all the coding brackets when I did corrections on the Word documents) but the already-sort-of-edited versions. I haven't been able to find a constant beta reader or editor that hasn't up and disappeared after the first couple of chapters for some reason or anther, and the person I had in mind when I started this project became too busy to do it, so I'm in the market for a beta re

Serendipity--Amy's Chapter 2: Another Reality
“Bring to me…….. create a circle with salt, inside the circle mark the symbols of the bells in salt. Make sure the largest bell’s symbol faces your front and the smallest to your back.... the second to smallest should be to the top of your left shoulder and the second biggest should be to the bottom of your right shoulder. Third smallest should be to your right and third biggest to your left…. The remaining should be below you. Create another salt circle so that the symbols are trapped between two circles of salt, except the one below you….be sure not to smudge any of the salt. And then say ‘Open

Serendipity--Lynn's Chapter 1: The Room
Lynn finds herself in an unfamiliar room. She gets up and loosk at her surroundings, and wonders how she got here. As she looks around Lynn notices that she's in a large, well lit hall. The kind you might expect to be in a museum. While the walls and edges have the artistic flair of an architect's hand, there dosn't appear to be anything on the walls, nor any show cases. The floor appears to be marble. The hall stretches out to her left and to her right.
"Oh crap... I hate museums..." Lynn takes the path down the right side of the hall.
How did I get here...
Lynn looks for other people around and calls out, "Hello?" She hears an

Serendipity--Amy's Chapter 1: The Room
Amy finds herself in an unfamiliar room.
Well, damn. How drunk
-was- I, and whose basement is it this time? Jess is fine, but she's not here.
Where are my boots? Am I alone?
"Hey! Whose house is this?"
Amy looks around the room. The room looks like a large basement, however it's packed tight with boxes, crates, and the sort, all of which are closed. The ceiling is also lower than it should be, low enough that she wouldn’t even have to stretch her hand much to touch the ceiling. The room is a bit damp and smells as such, along with a bit of a chill in the room. There seems to be a few lights on the walls every so often, how

Serendipity--A Story Game (Instructions and Start)
Q and A
What is the heck is this?
This is going to be a bit like role playing, you will create a character and I will act as the storyteller. each player will be alone, unless they meet another player or non-player character.
What the heck is role playing and what do you mean?Role playing is interactive storytelling where the players and the ST work to create a narrative. But don't worry, it's more fun then it sounds.
what's an ST?An ST (storyteller), Dungeon Master, etc... is the person who acts sort of like the narrator, describing the area your in, what happens when you push the red button, and acts as all non-player characters such as

Serendipity--Sophie's Chapter 1: The Room
Sophie finds herself in a room.
She looks around and observes the area. The room looks like most hotel rooms--two beds, a tv, dresser,
nightstand, clock, lamps, bathroom, and closet--pretty average stuff. When she looks out the window, Sophie can't see anything at all,
no lights, no buildings. Just darkness. The window can't be opened, it's the
kind that just lets you look. Sophie decides to wait ten minutes,
After 5 minutes of waiting, no one comes in. When Sophie tries to
open the door she finds it locked. She looks all around for anything she could use to escape. She looks through the dresser but finds nothing. The closet has

Be careful what you wish for. It just might come true and nothing ever happens as expected.
Calida walked through the dark streets of New York. People were all over the place even with it being so dark. Some of them normal looking, some of them not. Some dressed in black, some in white. Some drunk, some sober. It seemed as though everybody was looking for something. Everybody wanted or needed something that they couldn't seem to receive.
Calida was looking for many things on these cold dark streets of New York, and with no certainty that she would find these things, and with even less certainty that she would be able to attain
She had thought she knew what she was getting herself into when she began, but she had clearly underestimated her, supposedly, clairvoyant grandmother's words.
"The living should not mess with the dead, so then the dead will not mess with the living."
She sometimes thought her grandmother was mad, considering she 'messed' with the dead all of the time. But maybe it was she who was mad, to have spent so many months, learning about the dead.
The dead, once gone and buried, find their way to the heavens; the dead, who return as zombies and infect their fellow humans; the dead that are in fact, un-dead, with super human powers. Yet these were
